Stewart is an experienced professional advisor and project executive with deep practical experience and broad skill set gained through many years of managing diverse and complex projects. He offers a combination of extensive knowledge in construction and property development from on-site application of his skills strengthened by broad academic qualifications. Stewart specialises in representing the Client in property development and construction projects.
Stewart commenced his career on-site in construction and following significant part time study, progressed through contract administration and estimating to on-site project management. Following completion of a Masters in Land Economy he moved into property development as a consultant on various projects. Positions included Project Director for the redevelopment of St Vincent's Hospital Sydney, Development Manager for the John Maddison Tower for NSW Courts Administration and Development Manager for the new head office of NSW Department of Agriculture at Orange. Other roles have included Development Manager for The Treadstone Company and Property Development Consultant for Knight Frank and NSW Government Property Services Group. He has delivered many projects as consultant Design Development and Project Manager particularly for the NSW Dept. of Lands at Macquarie Park Cemetery and new substation projects for Ausgrid. After becoming involved with training in the community housing sector, Stewart completed a PhD on capacity building in property development risk management for the NSW Community Housing sector in 2012. Stewart’s research interests include affordable and community housing, modular building and construction methodologies and economics for property development.
